INTRODUCTION
There
are various species
of bed bug, the
common variety being
Cimex lectularius.
As their name
suggests, bed bugs
can be found in the
seams of mattresses
and bedding, and at
night they come out
and feed on sleeping
hosts. Bed bugs are
not thought to
transmit any serious
illnesses to humans
although the bite
from this insect can
be very irritating.
During her life
cycle, the female
can lay up to 200
eggs creating an
infestation in the
right conditions, so
it is advisable to
prevent bed bugs in
the home before they
become a problem. If
they already are a
